:GOLGATHA: are a brand new discovery by Athanor. Great epic bombast
soundtrack featuring some folk songs by :Golgatha:, a fascinating German
band who managed to have 2 contributions by Patrick Leagas of SIXTH COMM
(ex-DEATH IN JUNE). One of them sounds like if it came from the ONada¹ album
session. There is also a superb ³Heroes Days² cover from the early SOL
INVICTUS incarnation, from their OLex Talionis¹. Without any doubts this
album will become a real MUST HAVE for the industrial/neo folk addicted !

KudoV (kydos) means wonder, in the sense of awe; the heroic attraction
resulting from cruelty in Homers epic OIlias¹
and OOdyssee¹. The later englisch Okudos¹ means fame and renown resulting
from an act or achievement; thus by logical
extension is often used as a praising remark.

Girnu Giesmes " Rupus Miltai" CD

"Rupus miltai" - presently counted as the eighth album of Lithuanian
post-industrial music pioneer "Girnu Giesmes". The begetter of this Project
Laurynas Jukonis used to mark all his albums by some most archaic and
original elements of Lithuanian culture, such as the glee, rhymed
recitations in ancient Lithuanian language, some ornament on the cover. They
reflect the coherence between the author and archaic worldview, genetics of
ancestors, moreover - they perfectly adopt the ancient code for enriching
the collective future thinking. The newest album entitled with the ancient
relic, genuine and dearly fine Lithuanian euphemism - "Rupus Miltai" - which
is not translatable into other languages, perhaps even not explicable to
foreigners, but naturally acceptable by everyone of Lithuanian descent as
some higher element of communication, open to selected ethnos. The author of
this Project chose this relic of sublime reality as the guiding point to
surreal, psychedelic trip into different, more universal reality where the
ocean of associations and infinite possibility of interpretation rise. The
web of senses generated by the album "Rupus Miltai" throws the listener
along the emotional draughts as if the whirlwind carrying the small
butterfly. A stream of transparent ambient suddenly grows into the
hysterical ritual dance of shamans, leading to the labyrinth of feelings
hiding the fearful obscurity. As the battle falls, the light descends, and
the vanishing mind erases every thought and sense. "Rupus Miltai" is a
peculiar, psychedelic album talking of .... With various eclectic
post-industrial accents twinkling in it, with unique style aesthetics
unrolling and blazing in unconventional loops of dark and hypnotic ambient
and frozen industrial pulse.

“Fire In The Head” is probably one of the garish artists of “noise/power electronics”, representing the famous school of the USA. The project’s author Michael Page previously participated at live performances of the legendary Giovanni Balistrer’s project SLOGUN, also closely linked to the livery of NY sound terrorists. “As The Nest Burns” is short, but highly hysterical, brutal and dark album of “noise/power electronics” stylistics. Michael Page masterly plays with amplitude of different tracks intension. Slackened, leaden, psychedelic sounds overgrow into the avalanche of terribly aggressive and hysterical noise, gradually flooding back as unusual and uncomfortable sound stream. “As The Nest Burns” is a sort of element of otherworld civilization, starting its sudden extension, transformation and smashing attack. There are many fragments of distorted vocal in this album, making the tracks especially threatful. This is a completely new, reformed attack of USA “power electronics” tradition against the normal and moral world. Do you know what happens as the nest burns??? Then the children burn!!!
