EST.005 GOVERNMENT ALPHA "Mass Defect" C50 / Patch / Button -Set

Pure sonic torment with screeching highs and churning low rumbles. Harsh and constantly in a state of change, this is one relentless piece of guaranteed noise in the style of Govt. Alpha. Sealed in black plastic bag, comes with patch and pin button.

EST.006 THE RITA "Koskimo House Post" C40

new CIPHER PRODUCTIONS releases

(sic 22) V/A 'Night Science III' CD + 'zine
Night Science is back with its biggest and boldest issue yet:
perfect-bound 104 page 'zine and a full-length CD of exclusive material featuring:
Prurient - in-depth interview, historical photographs and two disparate tracks: a turgid piece of cut-up urgency and a live track of pure feedback destruction
Edwige - all members are interviewed and the CD contains a new 10 minute track with a more menacing, industrial approach than to their Segerhuva LP
Yellow Cab - Michio's first CD appearance in, what, 10 years? Old school Japanese noise which bristles with vibrancy and a quick chat from Mr. Vanilla Records.
Romance - lengthy interview with this newer British noiser and a fine track of punishing, dichotomous harshness
Astro - Hiroshi Hasegawa explores his incredible history in experimental music and delivers up a unique piece of Astro majesty from the same sessions as the 'Shell Star/Spica' masterpiece
Defektro - Australia's newest noise arrival (ex-Japan) on all things mechanical and three pieces of robotic/electronics mayhem
Armenia - this unstoppable noise machine delves into his noise past and rounds the CD out with 10 minutes of pure screech
Abisko - Tommy Carlsson discusses his latest label venture

This 'zine also features reviews of over 185 noise titles covering the last couple of years, an invaluable insight into those you missed, those you've ignored and those you've yet to experience. Limited to 500 copies.

$12us world price (postage paid)
$16au inside Australia (postage paid)

(sic 24) Mlehst 'Indelible Harvest' 8"
The Mlehst comeback gains further strength with this brief revisiting of material from the insanely limited 'Fabulous Favourites' set. Two tracks of Mlehst's patented drone/sketch/collage style on an 8" lathe-cut by Peter King Records. Packaged in a faux oak sleeve with handpainting and banderiole. Limited to 50 copies and nearly gone thanks to pre-orders.

$15us world price (postage paid)
$18au inside Australia (postage paid)

Please note I have very few copies of 'Inedible Harvest' left due to pre-orders and distribution orders - these are the last handful of copies.

(sic 25) Maim 'Coda' C-46
New cassette from one of the most uncompromising harsh noisers currently doing the rounds. 'Coda' is Maim at its bluntest, rough walls of indestructible menace coated viscously onto tape. Painted tapes packaged in slipcases and encased in wire mesh for a painful and irreversible opening. Limited to 66 copies.

$8us world price (postage paid)
$11au inside Australia (postage paid)

(sic 26) Phroq '77 Sound Objects' CDR
'77 Sound Objects' opens the Phroq creative process up like never before, the opening piece an expressive reworking of 76 individual snippets which make up the second half of the disc. '77 Sound Objects' is Phroq totally stripping down Francisco's sounds to the bare necessities of letting them lead
their own life and reveals them to be as dynamic, playful and thoughtful as ever. Packaged in 5" reel boxes and limited to 77 copies, each copy comes with its own unique insert capturing a moment in the creative process.

$11us world price (postage paid)
$15au inside Australia (postage paid)

(sic 27) Riverbed Mausoleum 'Plangent Dolor/Mármol' C-15 + C-20
Riverbed Mausoleum finally opens up over this double cassette, Gordon's work allowed more time to expand and unfold its layers of feedbacked drone, bitter vocals, touches of field recording ambience and punctures of flooding noise. 'Plangent Dolor/Mármol' is the decisive moment for this project and one of the most haunting, unique works you will hear this year. Full colour labels and J-cards in a double cassette case. Limited to 75 copies.

$15us world price (postage paid)
$18au inside Australia (postage paid)

(sic 30) Conversations About The Light 'Barren Eyelids Flowering' 3"CDR
CATL's calming ambience is obviously captivating, but 'Barren Eyelids Flowering' taints the usually pristine CATL shimmer with some gruesome streaks of noise. The end product somehow retains the usual dreamlike quality but roughly rips holes of harshness in the sound, the two coexisting for an end product I didn't think possible. Packaged in a handmade paper sleeve and wax sealed. Limited to 100 copies.

$7us world price (postage paid)
$8au inside Australia (postage paid)

Also still available:
Chrysalis & Agit8 'Sacred Silence' 3"CDR
V/A 'Underground Australia' C-90
Facialmess & Hana Kodama split 12"
KA 'Water Mertz' CDR
Control & Grunt & Moribund & Propergol 'St Bartholomew's Day' 2xC-30
Âmes Sanglantes 'Le Cri Du Pendu' CDR
Aube 'Comet' 2xCD
Gelsomina 'Nostalghia' CD

All the ordering information is available on the brand-new WEBPAGE, which in addition to looking a little prettier also now includes mp3s, reviews, an ever-growing distribution list, and a PayPal shopping cart for your convenience.

Coming late 2006/early 2007: TADM & Timisoara 'I Am Not Dying In A Nightmare' CDR + 3"CDR; T. Mikawa & Cracksteel 'Fuck My Ass: Live At Binspark' C-46; Origami Synergika & Origami Bondepraktika & Origami Subtropika collaborative 3"CDR ; Cloama 'In The State Of Unbelief' 7"+ C-10 boxset.

Details of releases planned beyond these next titles are also on the website.

TRASH001 - Alfarmania - Kofotsrekyl c32

TRASH012 - The Rita - Tortured Ghosts of Creeks and Rivers LP
First Solo Vinyl Release from the Rita finally released after delays with mastering. Since the beginning The Rita has been recording Brutal Walls of Harsh Noise and this LP is No Different. I am quite pleased to have this out as the First Vinyl Release on Trash Ritual.

TRASH019 - Golden Serenades - Fitte c46
Raw Harsh Noise from John Hegre and Jørgen Traeen. Previous releases on Gameboy and Abisko have been incredibly solid outputs and the tape on TR upholds the same quality of harsh noise. Two Lengthy Tracks bringing Strong Blasts of Almost Ritualistic Harsh Noise. Upcoming Split LP with Testicle Hazard on Segerhuva in the Future.

TRASH020 - Praying for Oblivion - Vestigial Machinery c62
Industrial Noise with Chaotic leanings from Andrew Seal. Side A features Three Studio Tracks with Strong Theme of Sexual Deviance and Bondage. TRASH023 - Sick Buildings - Consult/Manage c32
Harsh Noise from Canada and First Tape not on his own Label (Rundownsun). Dense Textures, Feedback Drones and Junk Metal Scrapings layered to create a focused response to the everyday power struggle in One’s Own Office. Slight Variations within the Construction yet always Focused.

** Aural Hypnox News (11.11.2006)

Out now: Zoät·Aon: 'The Triplex Bestial', CD!

By the careful adjustment and manipulation of both modern and archaic
mediums is created a highly dynamic work of aural alchemy depicting the
trance and dream of a carnal totem standing between Heaven and Earth,
where the unearthly sound of starlight's serpentine arteries winding
together with the blackened branches above mingles with the oneiric
hisses and crackles of necromantic phantoms and slithering roots below.
A barbarous, sonic paradox suggesting the subtle arousal of the ancestry
in flesh, a work both soothing and threatening to the intuitive mind.
(total time: 61:05)

Comes in an oversized 4 panel cardboard covers. Limited to 1000 copies.

Hey guys,

There's a brand new release to talk about, and it's another scorcher. This time it's the debut 7" from sludge band Four Days To Burn. Formed in 2005, these guys are from right here in Fort Worth, Texas, and simply one of the best bands I have seen live in the last few years. Totally blew me away. I played their demo over and over until I just couldn't take it anymore. I had to do their record. I can't say enough good things about these guys. Their debut cd will also be released by Dada Drumming in 2007.  The tracks were recorded by local knobtwister extraordinaire Matthew Barnhart at Echolab Studios in Denton, Texas, who also recorded the tracks for the upcoming The Great Tyrant 7" to be released in January. He's slowly becoming another fast friend of the label.

$5ppd in the US/$8ppd Everywhere else

Much more stuff to come, including local thrash/hardcore act Resigned To Fate's debut LP, the aforementioned The Great Tyrant 7", a Prurient record, a Hawg Jaw/Sourvein split 7", and the TEFGov't Alpha split/collab cd which I will be a part of. And it's all damned good. I for one am excited.

Thanks as always for your support. I really appreciate it.

Greg

Below is the release info for the Four Days To Burn 7":

Debut release by Fort Worth, Texas based sludge band Four Days To Burn. Featuring former members of local powerhouses Garuda, The El Salvador Birthday Bash & Dumpster, FDTB create a sound that is heavy on southern groove, and soaked in gritty energy and feedback. A twin vocal attack adds to the intensity. Fans of Eyehategod & Sourvein take note.
