NEW FROM 5NAKEFORK ATTIC:

+HELM "white hazel hollow" c28 $8ppd--
new recordings from the younger half of birds of delay. complete departure from that though, and all other Helm recordings ive heard. absolutely beautiful, memorable drone. very well recorded and very focused effort from UK, absolute pleasure to be a part of this. hand screened covers, hand screened tape labels, folded covers sealed together with white brads, stuffed in 6x6 zip baggies. perhaps the best on 5fork to date, thanks to mrs. 5fork.. c28s hand wound here in town. edition of 75

+VxPxC "at moodys skidrow beanery '66" c14 $7ppd--
yet again, quite a departure for this trio. clean recording, as opposed to the blown out murk of other great work on JK tapes and burial mound. perhaps more conventional than porchmass as well, 2 songs on side A and one on B. banjo, recorder, guitar, drums, vocals, all over the place here. screened tape labels, photocopy art on cardstock by 5fork, screened text on cover as well. c24s also wound here in town. edition of 50

+Leavenworth "black paynt" c64 MJC-135 $5ppd--
coreleased with middle james co. 64 min of modular synth and fuct tone generator. hear clips here: http://www.myspace.com/leavenworthKS ...follow up to split c60 on middle james co with the Gas Shepherds and recent c10 on cloud valley recordings. art by d payne.

Starving Weirdos | Sudden Fear CH024
dvd-r

First dvd release by this bunch of freakzone jammers and it’s definately one that stands out from the pack of music dvd’s released nowadays. Sudden Fear comprises slowed down footage from the 1952 film noir by the same name, starring the mighty Joan Crawford and Jack Palance as they get stuck in a web of crazy paranoid romance. The Weirdos soundtrack the black and white scenes with one of their most elegant pieces to date. Entrancing, psychedelic swamp magick, you know how they do. All with amazing eye and ear for the visual aspect of this multimedia performance. Originally performed for the Experimental Film & Music Night in cooperation with the Humboldt International Film Fest.
150 handnumbered copies, in slimline dvd cases with drawn cover art by Jason Rohm, an insert and a medium sized poster.

Tusco Terror | Mapping a Burial CH026
cd-r

Much needed new slab of blunt stabs in the ear by these Midwest dirt junkies. The Terror squad bring the post-New Blockaders junknoise with the swagger of a couple of kids at their first coked up punkshow. They mean no harm, yet they bolster fear. If you take the most frantic parts of Wolf Eyes circa Dog Jaw, the intensity of Metgumbernone and a load of heavy machinery falling apart at the same you’re getting somewhere. Mapping a Burial brims with metallic clang, anxious screams, the throbbing of broken effects and a load of shit you can’t even begin to dissect. Brutal.
75 handnumbered copies in slimline dvd cases with black and white coverart and awesome b&w insert drawn by the band’s own Nathan Bowers.

People’s Parties CH028
cd-r

Solo outing by Mark McGuire who, as one of the Emeralds boyz, is causing a righteous fuss in the minds of many stoned headz in the worldwide underground. People’s Parties offers 4 space huffin’ guitartrips through hostile ground, thorny fields and fuzz solo’s buried underneath thick layers of kosmische drone. The real scorcher though is the gorgeous 5th track, floating back down to earth with some of the most delicate guitarplaying I’ve heard this year, alongside melancholy spoken word samples which makes these 90 kgs al woozy and sentimental. Like watching an aged slideshow from some deceased family and feeling it, totally.

NEW NURSE ETIQUETTE

NE31: PARANOID TIME "ANKLE GRABBERS 7INCH" CS
perhaps best known for being the man behind the record label SNSE, Pat Yankee is also the front of the ever-changing PARANOID TIME project. surprisingly, one of the few straight harsh projects from Michigan. the sound & feel ever-changing is proof of artistic prowess and integrity that Pat presents. with every P.T. set I've seen and every recording heard, everything is different; either sonically, visually, or physically. while the tone always, strictly, remains harsh and demanding. this release strongly reflects what I see Pat going for with the project as of late; vile metal clatter infusing with layers of vocal hurl & crunching feedback, as well as whirling mid-range attacks that reacts like the thickest, darkest wall. this is a very dirty sounding recording that I am proud to release. but please, do not be confused; this is a cassette, not a 7".
Edition of 66 copies.

NE32: WASTE BÊTE NOIRE CS
TAPEWORM TAPES' dude Miles Haney, along with also being the guy behind EVENINGS, is also the boy-wonder behind Waste. the common thread between both projects is this never-departing thick bass-hurl. and while it reaches a strong-point with his other projects, it crosses into a new threshold on "BÊTE NOIRE". make sure not to leave anything too fragile on your speakers while listening. lost some cassette cases while jamming back to this recently. the low-end churn on this is devastating to say the least, and the most high-end relief you'll find is within a few short turns to some mid-range droning. without straying too far from the TUNNELING/DROWNING dual-cs, it still manages to stretch outside of that same vein. must grip for intense listenings.
Edition of 66 copies.

NE33: WHITE LEATHER CREEP STYLE, OHIO CS
new jammer from the dudes who used to be behind IDOLATRIES; Dan D.L. (HAUNTED CASTLE, SNOW COVERED DEER CORPSE/MOSSY THROATS) and K.H.R. (BODY COLLECTOR, VILLA VALLEY) are now fronting this thing. dan on loop swirl, khr on synth attack. gets densely harsh & thick at sparatic moments. usually remains in sort of a straight-up oscillation storm. for the handful of players that got the EXBX CS; don't get bummed when you don't hear quite the same styles frothing up. IDOLATRIES R.I.P. / FOREVER LIVE THE LURKER(S).
Edition of 66 copies.

Embryonic destruction resulting into a spurious joining, proteiform germination originating  orbiting nucleuses, zoomorphic textures, teratological  emulsions. Cyanotic impressionisms to reproduce a neurotic, adulterated and injurious reality: verbal cuts, libidinous scars, pulsing scrawls.  A spasmodic, rhizomatous and unstable antigen; a cutaneous and imaginative reaction against a constantly fierce disease.

new CIPHER PRODUCTIONS releases

(sic 29) TADM & Timisoara I Am Not Dying In A Nightmare CDR + 3”CDR
This release started as an intention to release some long-lost material, but upon revisiting it every track bar one was ditched in favour of new material. So here we have it, brand new obnoxious digital crunch and laptop hurling from TADM – as excitable as ever, but with a sense of the harsh noise purpose which is inescapable – and one extended new track from Timisoara of guitar and electronics - which is the most blissed-out piece of meditative noise/drone ever from Keiko – paired with an older track of exquisite beauty and which I refused to let die. Gotta love those contrasts.
Scenically packaged in full-colour disc and A5 sleeve artwork from Mike Shiflet (Gameboy) and NASA. Edition of 150 copies.
$16au/$14us airmail postage paid

(sic 31) Cloama In The State Of Unbelief boxset
Limited boxset version of the new 7” which finds Cloama at its most vehement, a savage exposition of raw power electronics which has never been quite so overt in Cloama’s sound until this project. Notwithstanding the clear ‘80s PE influences the production and composition are distinct, discreet layers and the usual attention to detail giving this work flair.
This boxset version is limited to 50 copies and is available only from Cipher Productions or direct from Cloama. The set features the standard 7”, an additional 10 minute cassette (each piece the complement to the two pieces from the 7”), an embroidered patch, buttons and additional artwork inserts, all housed in a 7” reel box.
$25au/$24us airmail postage paid

(sic 31) Cloama In The State Of Unbelief 7”
The 7” without any of the additions or extra material. Two new pieces from Cloama, mining that vein of uncompromising power electronics the project has previously only stared at.
Standard 7” cover and plastic sleeve. Edition of 130 copies.
$9au/$8us airmail postage paid

(sic 32) T. Mikawa & Cracksteel Fuck My Ass: Live At BinSpark C-46
On 8 January 2006 about 20 or so people witnessed one of the pre-eminent gatherings of Japanese noise of recent years, and which included the rare live appearances of Cracksteel and a solo Toshiji Mikawa. I’m incredibly pleased to now present those two sets for eternal audio consumption.
Mikawa’s solo set is an exercise in tension and dynamic, an uneasy drone yielding to cautious sheet metal rustling, extended feedback manipulation and the inevitable embracing storm. Unlike any work I’ve ever heard from Mikawa, and at some distance from the unstoppable Incapacitants fury, this live set was – and is – a lesson in self-composure and intense study.
Cracksteel’s set is exuberance set to 11, crumbling walls of distortion mortared together by a skilled layer - and all with a smile on his face. Cracksteel’s rare output is significantly expanded by this live document, which also marks the first newly recorded Cracksteel material in at least half a decade.
Packaged with an oversized booklet featuring photos taken by my wife and extensive liner notes from Mr ‘Fuck My Ass’ Soddy himself, and a black on black aesthetic for the tape labels. Edition of 123 copies.
$12au/$10us airmail postage paid

(sic 33) Origami Synergika & Origami Subtropika & Origami Bondepraktika fan-CDR
Split/collaborative release from Karl Midholm (Ovum), Jorge Castro (Cornucopia, Clon) and Lasse Marhaug (Jazkamer, Testicle Hazard, Origami Replika) whereby the artists created and shared source material before each creating a track from the process.
The outcome varies, but the quality is consistent; each of these guys know their craft, and each produces an assured composition from the ticks, twitches and oddities which were shared. Not ‘noise’ in the strict sense, but an incredible odyssey of experimental creation, and a must for anyone at all interested in any of the artists’ respective projects.
Handsomely packaged in screenprinted plywood and felt packaging, all sandwiched by metal bolts. Screenprinted ‘fan’ discs show off the articulated oroborous while giving you a good 16 minutes of playing time. Edition of 100 copies.
Packaging is kinda heavy hence the postage cost.
$12au/$10us airmail postage paid

(sic 34) Schimpfluch-Commune Int. For The Tasmanian Devils lathe-cut 9”
This 9” record (lathe-cut by Peter King) is a suite of new tracks from Schimpfluch artists Dave Phillips, Runzelstirn & Gurgelstøck and Sudden Infant, all inspired by and evocating (each in their own way) Tasmania’s unique and endangered wildlife. ‘For The Tasmanian Devils’ is an unnerving reality of discordant voices, treated found sound and obtuse referencing.
This record was originally released for the Dave Phillips/Runzelstirn & Gurgelstøck tour of Australia in an edition of 50 copies, and was sold at shows throughout the tour. 25 copies now remain, which are being made available direct from Cipher Productions – there are insufficient copies to farm out to distributors, sorry. Handmade glue pocket sleeve.
$25au/$24us airmail postage paid

(sic 35) The Fortieth Day Pelusium: 540 AD C-62
The Fortieth Day have managed to build up a heady wash of particled, crusted tape releases on the Bloodlust! label, the project’s clogged airways and dusted corridors of sound one of the most perfect fits for the cassette format one could hope to imagine. ‘Pelusium: 540 AD’ is The Fortieth Day in supreme form, the guitar/bass duo of Isidro Reyes and Mark Solotroff (Bloodyminded) churning out an obtrusive cloud of sound but this time with a little more detail glaring through the asthmatic machinations.
Black and white artwork and tape labels all housed in a Norelco case; a slight twist on the classic Bloodlust! aesthetic linked to this project. Edition of 100 copies.
$10au/$9us airmail postage paid

(sic 40) Government Alpha The Day Of The Light Crimson C-20
20 minutes of brand new ferocity from Yasutoshi Yoshida. ‘The Day Of The Light Crimson’ in part harkens back to Government Alpha’s late 1990s cassette output on Xerxes, its extended opening and closing tracks offering a more primal, wall-ish shove of noise than has been the usual case over the last few years. The middle tracks bend in the alternate direction, each an exaggerated hit of psychedelic electronics screech. It all adds up to another excess of flavoured harshness from one of Japan’s top current noise exponents.
Full colour A5 sleeve and tape labels, all designed by Yasutoshi, housed in a ziplock bag, complete the effect. Edition of 100 copies.
$10au/$9us airmail postage paid

All items are now available for ordering via the webstore, just hit the 'ordering' page on the website. Please note that to keep postage prices down, there is a two item minimum order.

Up next: Fire In The Head/Hum Of The Druid split 12", Taiga Remains/Glass Organ split lathe-cut 12", The Rita/Wilt collaboration CD reissue, Astro 'Shell Star/Spica' CD reissue, Stegm 'Harm Reduction' lathe-cut 12"/C-40, 2673 CDR and plenty more...
